Quality Inspection & Coordinate Measurement

We perform comprehensive inspection of components — from high-precision manual measurement to 3D geometry inspection, runout measurement, hardness verification and material identification.
Our inspection equipment includes Sheffield Discovery D12 with Renishaw PH10, Mitutoyo, Mahr MarCator, bore gauges, Hahn+Kolb inspection equipment and other precision measuring instruments.

GEOMETRY, DIMENSIONS & MATERIAL

We inspect:
  • external and internal diameters;
  • thicknesses and depths;
  • hole coordinates;
  • centre distances;
  • planes and angles;
  • parallelism and perpendicularity;
  • concentricity and coaxiality;
  • radial and axial runout;
  • hardness;
  • material composition where required.

INSPECTION & MEASURING EQUIPMENT

  • Sheffield Discovery D12 + Renishaw PH10
    Coordinate measuring machine for 3D inspection of complex geometry, hole coordinates, planes and relative position of surfaces.
    Working range:
    approximately 500 × 900 × 400 mm
    The indexed Renishaw PH10 probe head allows measurements from different directions without repeatedly repositioning the component.
    • 500 × 900 × 400 mm • Renishaw PH10 • 3D inspection
  • Hahn+Kolb
    Inspection stand for checking radial and axial runout of shafts and rotational components up to 1600 mm long.
    Suitable for:
    • shafts;
    • spindles;
    • rollers;
    • axles;
    • other rotational components.
    • L up to 1600 mm • shafts • spindles • rollers
  • Mitutoyo + Mahr MarCator
    Precision measuring instruments for dimensional and comparative inspection directly in production.
    Mitutoyo instruments are used for:
    • shaft diameters;
    • journals;
    • thicknesses;
    • fitting surfaces.
    Mahr MarCator indicators are used for:
    • small deviations;
    • runout;
    • machine setup;
    • comparative measurements.
    up to 0.002 mm • runout • deviations • precision inspection

  • Bore Gauges, Calipers & Measuring Stands
    We use precision bore gauges and other measuring instruments for inspection after:
    • turning;
    • boring;
    • grinding;
    • other machining operations.
    They allow rapid inspection of:
    • accurate internal diameters;
    • bearing seats;
    • external dimensions;
    • internal dimensions;
    • depths;
    • housing components.
    up to 0.002 mm • rapid process inspection • bores • bearing seats

INSPECTION THROUGHOUT THE MANUFACTURING CYCLE

  • COORDINATE 3D INSPECTION

    Sheffield Discovery D12
    We use the CMM where the critical requirement is not only an individual dimension, but the relative position of multiple features on the component.
    We inspect:
    • hole coordinates;
    • centre distances;
    • coaxiality;
    • planes;
    • angles;
    • relative position of surfaces.
    • The Renishaw PH10 allows the probe orientation to be changed so complex parts can be inspected from several directions without continuous repositioning.

  • MANUAL & INDICATOR INSPECTION

    For process inspection directly at the machine, we use precision manual measuring instruments.
    Mitutoyo
    → external diameters, thicknesses and fitting surfaces
    Bore gauges
    → internal diameters and bearing seats
    Mahr MarCator
    → small deviations, runout and setup
    Carl Zeiss / precision measuring instruments
    → rapid dimensional and depth inspection
    This allows us to inspect a component not only after machining is complete, but also between individual manufacturing operations.

WHERE WE USE INSPECTION

After Turning

Diameters, lengths, runout and fitting dimensions.

After CNC Milling

Coordinates, planes, angles and complex geometry.

After Boring

Internal diameters, coaxiality and centre distances.

After Grinding

Final dimensions and runout.

After Heat Treatment

Hardness and geometry after hardening.

During Part Restoration

Material identification, wear evaluation and actual component geometry.

HOW WE WORK

  • We Receive the Component & Drawing
    We determine which parameters must be inspected.
  • We Select the Inspection Method
    Depending on the task, we use:
    • CMM;
    • micrometer;
    • bore gauge;
    • indicator;
    • runout inspection stand;
    • hardness tester;
    • spectral analysis.
  • We Perform the Inspection
    We measure and verify the agreed parameters.
  • We Analyse the Results
    We compare actual dimensions and geometry with the drawing or technical specification.
  • We Transfer the Part to the Next Department
    If required, the component continues through the manufacturing route within our facility.
  • We Feed the Results Back into Production
    If necessary, the following technological operations are adjusted according to the inspection results.
Need to Inspect a Component or Material?
Send us a drawing, 3D model, photographs and a list of parameters to be checked.
We will select the optimal inspection method — from high-precision manual measurement to 3D coordinate inspection, runout verification, hardness testing and material analysis.
