Metal Heat Treatment

We perform heat treatment of steel components to achieve the required hardness, strength, wear resistance and material structure.
Our capabilities include:
  • through hardening;
  • induction hardening;
  • carburising;
  • normalising;
  • annealing;
  • tempering.
Heat treatment can be performed as a stand-alone operation or as part of a complete component manufacturing cycle.

TYPES OF HEAT TREATMENT

We Select the Process According to Material & ApplicationThrough Hardening
Increasing the hardness and strength of the component throughout a substantial part of its cross-section.
Induction Hardening
Local hardening of the working surface while maintaining the required properties of the core.
Carburising
Enrichment of the surface layer with carbon followed by heat treatment to obtain a hard and wear-resistant surface.
Normalising
Achieving a more uniform metal structure and preparing the material for further machining.
Annealing
Reducing hardness and internal stresses while improving machinability.
Tempering
Reducing brittleness and residual stresses after hardening.

HEAT-TREATMENT EQUIPMENT. FURNACE HEAT TREATMENT & INDUCTION HARDENING.

  • HARDENING FURNACES
    Increasing Component Strength & Hardness
    Through hardening is used for parts requiring high mechanical properties throughout a significant part of their cross-section.
    A typical process includes:
    heating to the specified temperature
    → holding
    → controlled cooling
    → tempering, if required
    Typical applications include:
    • gears;
    • shafts;
    • axles;
    • bushings;
    • tooling components;
    • die components;
    • industrial machine components.
  • CARBURISING, NORMALISING, ANNEALING & TEMPERING
    Carburising
    Used to obtain a hard, wear-resistant surface layer while maintaining a strong core.
    Normalising
    Used to equalise the metal structure after:
    • casting;
    • forging;
    • previous technological operations.
    Annealing
    Allows us to:
    • reduce hardness;
    • reduce internal stresses;
    • improve subsequent machinability.
    Tempering
    Applied after hardening to:
    • reduce brittleness;
    • stabilise material properties.
    • Process parameters are selected according to the material grade, component geometry and drawing requirements.
  • INDUCTION HARDENING
    Induction hardening is used where high surface hardness combined with a tougher core is required.
    Induction heating is concentrated in a selected area, followed by rapid cooling of the surface.
    Typical components include:
    • gear teeth;
    • gear shafts;
    • shaft journals;
    • axles;
    • fitting surfaces;
    • rollers;
    • spline surfaces.
    Induction hardening is particularly effective for components operating under:
    • friction;
    • contact loads;
    • intensive wear.
  • INSPECTION AFTER HEAT TREATMENT
    Hardness
    We verify the result of:
    • hardening;
    • induction hardening;
    • other strengthening operations.
    Geometry
    We check possible changes in:
    • dimensions;
    • runout;
    • component geometry after heating and cooling.
    Fitting Surfaces
    We measure diameters and machining allowances before final grinding.
    Material
    Where required, we use spectral analysis to verify the chemical composition of the original material.
    Inspection is integrated with the company's quality inspection and measuring department.
HEAT TREATMENT + FINAL MACHINING
We Allow for Possible Distortion After Heating
After heat treatment, a component may change its geometry. For this reason, critical surfaces are often left with an appropriate allowance for final machining.
After hardening, we can perform:
Cylindrical Grinding
→ shaft journals and fitting surfaces
Internal Grinding
→ precision bores
Surface Grinding
→ reference and working surfaces
Gear Grinding
→ gears after heat treatme
Spline Grinding
→ spline shafts
EDM
→ precision contours in hardened material
This allows heat treatment to be integrated into the manufacturing route before machining even begins.

How We Work
We Receive Your Technical Requirements
Send us a drawing, 3D model, photographs or a description of the part.
If necessary, our specialists will clarify the material, tolerances, required quantity and other technical requirements.
We Develop the Manufacturing Process and Quotation
We review the documentation, determine the required operations and agree on the production time, price and order conditions.
Manufacturing
We perform all required blank preparation, machining, heat-treatment and finishing operations.
For complex projects, we can keep the customer informed about the key stages of production.
Final Inspection & Shipping
We perform final inspection, prepare the parts for shipment and agree on a suitable delivery method
Need Heat Treatment for a Component?
Send us a drawing or specify:
  • material grade;
  • component dimensions;
  • required hardness;
  • hardening zone;
  • condition of the component before heat treatment;
  • whether subsequent grinding or other finishing is required.
We will select the appropriate process and combine heat treatment with the required machining operations.
