FROM HEAVY HOUSINGS TO PRECISION COORDINATE MACHINING

The boring department at LLC Spetsremmash combines heavy horizontal boring with high-precision jig boring and the possibility of subsequent jig grinding.
We machine:
gearbox housings; machine beds; frames; plates; bearing housings; other components with precision bores, interrelated surfaces and specified hole coordinates.
Modernised CNC machines allow us to program the machining sequence and maintain stable coordinates when processing complex components.

MACHINING OF COAXIAL BORES
One of the typical applications of horizontal boring is the manufacturing and restoration of coaxial bearing and fitting bores.
This is particularly important for:
- gearbox housings;
- transmission housings;
- shaft supports;
- industrial mechanisms.
Loss of coaxiality directly affects the operation of bearings, gear transmissions and shafts.
The capabilities of our horizontal boring machines allow several bearing seats to be machined within a single workpiece setup.
BORING OF MULTI-TONNE HOUSING COMPONENTS

The main advantage of horizontal boring machines is their ability to process components which, due to their weight and dimensions, cannot be efficiently mounted on a conventional machining centre.
Large rotary tables make it possible to machine different sides of a housing, while the substantial spindle extension allows us to work with deep bores and internal surfaces.
